Jay Inslee's view on Nuclear Power
#1
Q. One of your constituents, Bill Gates, has been making his own significant push on nuclear energy recently. Do you support the way he’s talking about it?

Well, Jay's off my list of hopefuls. Too bad. You'd think he'd swing the other way with Hanford in his backyard.

Though no mention, there was SMR written all over his answer.

Nuclear: Like there's no tomorrow.

Did you guys expect a different stance from Jay Inslee? I'm just curious since I don't know his work nor opinions all that well.

Inslee's comments on assigning more taxpayer dollars to research and development, as he states in the interview that kicked off this thread, make it clear that he is not paying attention to either current energy market trends or fact that the US is accumulating greater amounts of nuclear waste for which the US has no secure solutions, and never will.

I no longer expect anything from him since he is not paying attention.
