With the removal of Jacob Zuma, raids on the Gupta syndicate, and upheaval in the leading political power (ANC) in South Africa, the fate of nuclear has been pushed off into the future. They may reconsider nuclear energy in five years. By then, hopefully, South Africa will have begun installing renewable energy and off the grid systems and will never need to consider nuclear.
