Russian Leak Admitted: Argayash
#1
After months of denial....

The Russian town in the shadow of a leaking nuclear plant

Authorities finally admit that Argayash was at the centre of a radiation cloud https://www.ft.com/content/2d853158-d064...4ce08b24dc

Great example of how the IAEA and WHO are totally out of sync with what they ought be doing.

Sometime before months pass after the leak detected, the city of Chelyabinsk is reportedly in full lock down. No one in,no one out... can this be so?

One blog has a set of photos depicting the lock down... and one photo is, uhm, curious... brings to mind the US faked ISIS beheading and Ukraine faked invasion flimflam filmery awhile back... what's going down? Does Russian mil require this?

Or, is it disinformation to make us think the event is staged? We know for a fact from international monitors that the radiation leak did occur.

We need people inside the "exclusion zone" to be heard.

Update on the Russian accident!

22nd November 2017 - A mysterious radiation cloud spread over Europe in September. Russia finally acknowledged it.
But officials won’t say where it came from.

Extracts:

IRSN, which said the radiation was no longer detectable as of October 13, concluded that it was an accidental radiation leak and estimated that the amount of radiation released at the source was somewhere between 100 and 300 terabecquerels. That’s enough to require shielding precautions and special cleanup procedures in the region near the origin, but was not a threat to human health farther away. (A terabecquerel is equal to a trillion nuclear disintegrations per second, a measurement of the radioactivity of a substance.)

Patrick Regan, a professor nuclear physics at the University of Surrey in the United Kingdom, told the Science Media Centre that the radiation most likely originates from a nuclear waste reprocessing plant.

Likely an accident but no one is admitting anything.

Radioactive ruthenium 106 detected in Russia; nuclear facility officials deny leak
Linda Pentz Gunter
Counterpunch

https://www.counterpunch.org/2017/11/24/...n-secrecy/

Quote:In testimony delivered in French on November 19, 2017, Kutepova surmised that if the release of ruthenium 106 came from Mayak, then it emanated either from an accident in the fuel reprocessing plant or from a malfunction in the radioactive waste vitrification plant. Kutepova considered Mayak likely responsible because precisely around the end of September the facility was testing new equipment in the nuclear fuel reprocessing plant where something may well have gone wrong.

Kutepova related that on September 22 a train arrived at Mayak transporting irradiated fuel from a VVER reactor. Everything about this transport was new to Mayak - the train, the waste fuel casks, and the irradiated VVER fuel which had never been reprocessed at Mayak before. Emergency alarms went off at Mayak that day, Kutepova said. Furthermore, Mayak has a long history of secrecy and cover-ups and is self-regulating.

Contradictory statements from Mayak officials about the presence, or not, of ruthenium at the Mayak facility sowed further doubt about the veracity of earlier denials that Mayak was not the source of the accident and release.

More proof that the nuclear regulatory system does not function.

RUSSIA - traces of radioactive cesium on mushrooms.

30th November 2017 – Mushrooms imported from Russia to France are found to contain traces of RADIATION, just a week after an unexplained radioactive cloud swept across Europe

Extracts:

France has discovered traces of radioactive cesium on mushrooms imported from Russia, according to the head of French nuclear regulator, ASN.

Mr Chevet told senate: ‘The latest information I have is that it seems that traces of cesium have been found on mushrooms that would have come from Russia.
