Texas & Harvey
Texas hit hard by Hurricane Harvey and more rain expected. Very little information about the status of the nuclear plant in Bay City. ENENews has collected some articles here - "Nuclear Worker: “Imminent flood coming” near nuke plant from Hurricane Harvey… “Potentially catastrophic”… Running out of food… Working tirelessly to manage problems… Area turned “upside down” — Nearby river forecast to rise 50 ft and overtop levees, “Major Flood Stage” (VIDEO)"

Nothing in the NRC Event Notifications, yet. But, "The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is keeping an eye on Hurricane Harvey and its effect on the South Texas Project nuclear power plant in Bay City, Texas."

Wonder how the nuclear waste site in Austin is.

"Tropical storm Harvey continues to dump rain on Texas. On Monday, during a brief respite here in Austin, the storm curved up along the Gulf Coast toward Louisiana – though it’s likely to return to Central Texas by Wednesday."

29 Aug.: Local rivers recede as Harvey’s impacts slowly wane "After making a U-turn, Tropical Storm Harvey has moved back to its source of fuel, the Gulf of Mexico, where it is expected to strengthen slightly before turning north toward a third landfall near the Houston/Galveston area."
