WEBCAM June 2020
#1
Post webcam observations for June here.  Observations should start with a date and ‘jst’ time (Japan Standard Time) and camera(s).  Describe as best as possible what you see.  Contribute data such as weather conditions, work activities, TEPCO or local news reports, radiation readings, earthquake activity, or any information that documents events occurring at Daiichi.  Comments and analysis welcome.  Help keep an eye on TEPCO's disaster site.

06-05 Start of June had only a little crane activity mostly looked to be moving stuff low enough to the ground to be out of sight.  I saw another night of rain with webs. The webs were small, at the bottom of the lens and didn't last long, the rain washing the radioactive dust off the lens.  Next day and night was foggy and blocked out both camera views.  On the fifth, I saw bright flashes lighting up cam1 and noticed a few big sparks in between the bright flashes of light.  It made for quite a light show. The last grab shows a huge lightning bolt that looked to be fairly close to Fukushima Daiichi.

06-29  Days and nights of rainy, foggy weather has kept the lens clean.  There's been some crane movement on workdays but not much to see.  Here's another cam4 spark.
