Post webcam observations for October here. Observations should start with a date and ‘jst’ time (Japan Standard Time) and camera(s). Describe as best as possible what you see. Contribute data such as weather conditions, work activities, TEPCO or local news reports, radiation readings, earthquake activity, or any information that documents events occurring at Daiichi. Comments and analysis welcome. Help keep an eye on TEPCO's disaster site.

10-20 Cam 1 has been repositioned recently. The view now shows more sky and cuts off the bottom so the new extension can't be seen.
Majia posted information about the stored radioactive water being considered for release in the ocean without further treatment to remove radionuclides. She just happens to include a grab of cam 1 in its new position.

10-26 Cam1 went out about 10:45 am. Cam1 looks to be down for a few hours.
Tepco notice on the camera web page.
From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on October 26, 2020, delivery of image will be suspended due to planned maintenance work.
A heads up on the Tepcam feeds. Tepco's Flowplayer requires Adobe Flash player and support for Flash player is ending.
Flash Player's end of life is December 31st, 2020. Please see the Flash Player EOL Information page for more details.
https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplay...-life.html
Quote:Adobe will not issue Flash Player updates or security patches after the EOL Date. We recommend that all users uninstall Flash Player before the EOL date (see manual uninstall instructions for Windows and Mac users). As of mid-October 2020, users started being prompted by Adobe to uninstall Flash Player on their machines since Flash-based content will be blocked from running in Adobe Flash Player after the EOL Date.
