Put the different pics we capture of the birds, insects, drones, blimps, planes, and other unidentified objects here to track them and help people identify them.

"Dose–response modelling based on a subset of randomly selected total doses and corresponding total number of birds estimated from the previously fitted GLMM (Table 2) allowed us to predict that a total absorbed dose of 0.55 Gy with CI 95% [0.45; 0.70] caused a 50% loss in the total number of birds (Fig. 4)." Garnier-Laplace, J. et al. Radiological dose reconstruction for birds reconciles outcomes of Fukushima with knowledge of dose-effects relationships. Sci. Rep. 5, 16594; doi: 10.1038/srep16594 (2015).

One of the few signs of life on the webcams, birds and insects are slowly coming back more than four years after the Daiichi meltdowns.

8-8-2015  While going thru my recordings of the TEPCO Fukushima Daiichi live feeds looking for gamma sparks, I caught a flicker of black in the sky.  Looked at it frame by frame and noticed this quick, flying object in view for just five frames in a row, about a half a second.  I have recorded insects, birds, planes, and drones flying over the plant but none as fast as this.

The 5 frame grabs are posted in the 8-8-2015 album in my HorseCam library at photobucket along with some gamma spark grabs.  HorseCam/8-8 drone

It rained on 11-14, the next day the clouds were bizzare looking so I recorded and caught tepco webcam manipulator deleting 2 minutes during cloud anomalies (13.45 to 13.47 look at the top clock and bottom right corner recorded clock with no interruption) then captured what I believe is a UFO around 13:51pm.
(poor clarity when you have to reduce the size here) link link

Captured 5 frames (5 seconds), here is the first and last. You be the judge. I'm calling it a UFO whether it makes people uncomfortable or not, I'm used to see them now. Glad I can speak freely here without being ridiculed or mocked like I got from someone on enenews who doesn't believe in them. This isn't the first time unidentified objects have been seen at Fukushima Plant. link link

Cali, they might be ufos, but we aren’t going to get enough detail out of the lousy tepcams to prove it unless one lands on r3 and starts scooping out fuel rods.  The flyby I caught above looks like a small cylinder to me; a zoom just makes the pixels larger.  The zoom on the blimp shows no more detail because of the low resolution of the cameras.  You have, however, given me a good excuse to post a spark photo and a zoom that I found in ufo footage taken with a decent camera.  We can compare the quality of what we have to work with when we try to guess what odd specks might be on the tepcams with what current technology offers.  This wasn’t seen over Daiichi but the excuse I’ll use to post this is the spark I noticed.

UFO or NOT ..?

nuckelchen just put out a lot of short live cam mash-up videos today.

They are mixed dates and years so I don't want to post in the wrong thread. Some sky objects too.

I have a bunch of screen grabs and vids on my blog with the topic "flying black spec".

Thanks, MissFrill, for posting the link to Nuckelchen's latest vids.  I liked the way he zoomed in on some sparks.  My favorite was the grab from the video feed in the control room.

You have a lot of good video on your site too.
flying objects over fukuplant?

look at this:

and here is an older one, a helicopter flyby:

just an other side that i had made
I snapped a number of screenshots back in August 2014 of a mass bird migration directly over Dai-ichi. At first it was surprising to see a large group of birds, then more continued to appear. I'm guessing a migration? This was viewed for over a minute. I believe I captured some on video somewhere.

This first group is from 2014-9-8, early morning jst.

Here is the next large bird group from August 17th 2014

I checked the R4 view cam at the same time and this is what was there :

one final bird 7 minutes later. I believe this was the day I captured the video of several minutes of birds flying over. Gotta find that video...
